WoW’ It had started so well! Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davies goes from glamour to gutter after British soap awards

Earlier in the evening she had looked stunning, the epitome of sophisticated glamour in a floor-sweeping black gown and diamond drop earrings.

But just hours later, Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davies was snapped in possibly the worst public display of affection the MailOnline has even seen as she left the Soap Awards after party.

As she smooched male model Jay Camilleri, the Liverpudlian’s micro-mini dress rode up around her waist exposing her bottom not only to the elements but also the gathered throng of photographers.

To make matters worse, the driving rain caused her fake tan to dribble down her legs leaving her with dark orange ankles.

Is this the worst PDA ever? Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davies has a major wardrobe malfunction after jumping onto male model Jay Camilleri following the British Soap Awards

Get these two a taxi quick! Miss Davies was seemingly oblivious to the crowds of photographers gathered outside after party venue Cafe de Paris and the fact that her dress was edging towards her neck.

Jay, who starred in E4 show Dirty Sexy Things, did not look best pleased as he screwed up his face in an awkward grimace that worsened when Stephanie launched herself – and her legs – around him.

Before her great descent onto a London pavement, the 18-year-old actress, who tried out for the role of Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Over the Rainbow, had tweeted that she was looking forward to an ‘amazing night’.

It’s Roy: FA to name Hodgson as England boss in amazing snub to fans’ favourite Redknapp

West Brom have given permission for the the FA to speak to Roy Hodgson about the vacant manager’s position

Top job: Roy Hodgson was considered second favourite behind Harry Redknapp to become next England manager

Top job: Roy Hodgson was considered second favourite behind Harry Redknapp to become next England manager

Roy Hodgson is set to become the new England manager.

Football Association chiefs were tonight granted permission by West Brom to speak to Hodgson, they have already held talks and they hope to have a deal wrapped up within 72 hours.

It will come as an amazing snub to Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp who is the people’s choice for the job and has always been the bookies’ odds-on favourite.

Spurs are also understood to be furious that the FA have dragged out the process while their results have gone through the floor and the uncertainty surrounding Redknapp has jeopardised their whole season.

But Mirror Sport understands that the FA do not intend to even speak to Redknapp as they see Hodgson as a “better fit” for the job, especially as they believe he will embrace the development side of the role at their St George’s Park HQ in Burton.

Former Switzerland boss Hodgson also boasts international experience on his CV and that is believed to be another key reason as to why the FA went for him ahead of Redknapp.

West Brom’s technical director Dan Ashworth is also a leading candidate to be appointed as the FA’s new technical director and move across with Hodgson.

Redknapp has also confided in friends that he has been left feeling shattered, in need of a break and had reservations about the Burton set-up.

But the FA will now have to brace themselves for a backlash for not going for the popular choice of Redknapp.

The speculation over Redknapp has also coincided with Tottenham’s season falling apart and they are now battling for fourth place having been title contenders before the clamour for him to succeed Fabio Capello who quit in February.

Hodgson has already admitted publicly he wants the England job and it seems certain that he will be appointed in time for the Euros and to pick the squad for the tournament.

Hodgson will also be cheaper than Redknapp as his contract expires at the end of June and has yet to agree a new deal with West Brom.

FA chairman Bernstein said: “Roy is the only manager we have approached and we remain on course to make an appointment within the timescale we set out.

“Further conversations will now take place with Roy.”

West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace said: “Roy has done a fantastic job over the past 15 months and the fact the FA wants to discuss the England role with him is testament to that.

“Roy is a proud Englishman and we can understand why he wants to speak to the FA about this highly prestigious managerial position.

“However, we have emphasised to Roy how much we would like him to remain as our head coach and continue his major contribution to our project at the Hawthorns as we look to establish ourselves as a Premier League club.

“Everyone here has an excellent working relationship with him and he is immensely popular with our supporters.”

Who would be your choice for England manager?

Flying the Dream: aboard Boeing’s brand new ‘jet lag-busting’ 787 Dreamliner

Nigel Thompson joins a demo flight aboard the Boeing’s revolutionary aircraft, which can fly 9,400 miles in one go

Thomson and First Choice will be the first UK airlines to take delivery of the Dreamliner in May 2013

Thomson and First Choice will be the first UK airlines to take delivery of the Dreamliner in May 2013

Manchester United’s iconic Old Trafford football stadium is called the Theatre of Dreams.

So it seemed highly appropriate that I got a glimpse of the Red Devils’ home from a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on a 500ft wing-waggling flypast at the city’s airport this week.

This revolutionary new “greener”, “jet lag-busting” passenger plane is seen as the greatest advance in aviation since Concorde and this week was on the UK leg of a world tour, which took in Heathrow, Manchester and Gatwick airports.

I joined the Boeing crew and a team from Thomson Airways – which will be the first in Britain to take delivery of a 787 – at Manchester for a plane tour and two-hour test flight.

It’s a very fine looking jet with elegant, sweeping lines and distinctive flexible wings which rise up to 10ft at the tips on take-off, though it’s perhaps not as awesome close up as the mighty Airbus A380 double decker superjumbo.

But it’s inside that’s going to impress Thomson and First Choice passengers from May 2013 – swiftly followed by fliers travelling with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.

Holidaymakers heading from Manchester, Gatwick, East Midlands and Glasgow to Cancun, Mexico, and Sanford, Florida, on Thomson Airways will have the first opportunity to fly on the new jets.

It will offer travellers noticeable improvements, including:

● Moister air for less chance of dehydration and headaches;
● Cleaner air that’s had irritants such as perfume and alcohol removed;
● Lower cabin pressure, which is less tiring;
● Bigger windows and dynamic LED lighting;
● Wider aisles and higher ceilings; and
● A smoother, quieter journey.

While you can hardly avoid your body being say five times zones adrift from UK time if you’re in Florida, these are all factors which should combine to help to alleviate the effects of jetlag when you get off the plane.

The Dreamliner is made largely of carbon/polymer resin and consequently is lighter than similar sized aircraft and uses 20% less fuel, hence its “green” tag.

It also offers a tremendous range, up to 9,400 miles, which brings the realistic and tantalising prospect of direct flights to destinations such as Bali, Hawaii and even Perth.

You read that right – Australia in one go. Amazing.

Feeling broody, Kate and Wills? Duke and Duchess of Cambridge play doting parents as they coo over baby at event for South Pole trek soldiers

The ‘is she, isn’t she?’ rumours concerning the Duchess of Cambridge and her pregnancy status begun to swirl even before the ink had dried on her marriage certificate.

And Kate’s quirk of holding her bag in front of her tummy; outfit choices like yesterday’s peplum jacket that appeared to conceal the stomach – or that occasion when she refused to eat peanut paste on a UNICEF visit – only add fuel to the flames.

But whether or not there is a royal baby coming in the near future, today Kate and Wills proved that when they do provide a royal heir to the throne, the royal pair will make natural parents.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were charmed by three-week-old Hugo Vicary, the son of a soldier the two met at an event they attended today.

William held the infant – the son of one of the adventurers – in the crook of his right arm and looked down with loving eyes.

He was joined by Kate, who, when she chatted to the baby’s proud parents, Vic and Hanna Vicary, described their son as ‘very cute’.

Hugo Eric Scott, dressed in a Superman romper suit, was born three weeks ago today and his name features tributes to both Mr Vicary’s father who died in March and the famous British polar explorer.

Mr Vicary, 41, from Cornwall, a Warrant Officer Second Class with the Rifles, trekked to the South Pole in the footsteps of Captain Scott, with a team led by Warrant Officer Mark Langridge.

Who Is Rita Ora?

Meet the girl who’s leading Roc Nation’s British invasion.

Rita Ora is on top of the world right now, but it’s been a long time coming. The 21-year-old Roc Nation artist has put in nearly three years working on her debut album, which is due out later this year.

Some may remember the sexy UK-based singer from her collabos with Craig David on “Awkward” and “Where’s Your Love,” others may be more familiar with her acoustic covers of Outkast’s “Hey Ya” and Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know.” But now she’s bringing original songs to the table. With tracks produced by The-Dream and her latest, ‘R.I.P.,’ written by Drake, Rita’s taking her career to a whole new level.

The video for her latest single “How We Do” dropped on Tuesday, nearly a month after she and Jay-Z walked into New York’s Z-100 FM and the powerhouse pop station added the song on the spot. She’ll be playing a showcase at SOB’s this Wednesday—a sure sign of big things ahead.

Complex caught up with Rita at the Shoreham Hotel bar the day after she performed at the Cartier Juste un Clou party—where she sang a rendition of “Say My Name” with Beyoncé and Jigga watching in the audience. Freshly tattooed and sipping a watermelon martini, Rita told us about growing up in West London, what she thinks of all the Rihanna comparisons, and explained that “drunk sex feeling” she sings about on “how we do.” So read on to learn all about Rita. This girl’s going places.

As told to Lauren Nostro (@LAURENcynthia)

Queen Elizabeth Gives Camilla an Esteemed New Title ©

Queen Elizabeth Gives Camilla an Esteemed New Title
From the Duchess of Cornwall to Dame Grand Cross, Camilla has arrived.

By TIM NEWCOMB

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Norway's Queen Sonja visit Troldhaugen residence, home of famous Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, in Bergen, March 21, 2012.

Queen Elizabeth granted 64-year-old Camilla, wife of her son, Prince Charles, the highest female rank in the Royal Victorian Order to honor Camilla on her seventh wedding anniversary. She is now a Dame Grand Cross. The Queen has the sole right to bestow ranks to individuals who serve her or the monarchy.

(PHOTOS : An Album of British Royal Weddings)

The thought of Camilla working her way so strongly into the hearts of either the English people or the monarch once seemed far-fetched. Camilla was, at times, at least partially blamed for breaking up Charles and Princess Diana and was less than admired when she married Charles. The second marriage for Charles put the monarchy in a conundrum of what title to give Camilla, still not referred to as Princess of Wales out of respect for Diana.

But as Camilla has proven a more than capable royal, the public has widely accepted her. The Duchess of Cornwall has represented the monarch and Prince Charles hundreds of times in the last seven years in public events both at home and abroad.

The newest Dame Grand Cross was recently seen at a London event with the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge (we once knew her as Kate Middleton), surely a powerful royal trio. And they all have the titles to back it up.
